My first Hollywood moment: No #@&% Sherlock

Good to see my first Hollywood film promotion effort went well. Variety Magazine said it grossed $75 million this weekend. Here’s the theatrical poster. Warner Bros changed my line from “Try to elude him” to “Nothing escapes him.” But oh well, it was a group effort and a great experience. Too bad the ad agency failed with their merger as well as their Chapter 11 restructuring. Hundreds of staffers were let go and freelancers were unpaid (as in me). Ugh! Great experience though. Hopefully 2010 will be a better year.

Check out Commercial Photographer Rob Jones’ brand repair kit. It’s fresh from the printers and capturing all of the right attention.

Outside you’ll see the copy I wrote and Kimberly Jones’ wonderful design. Inside, Rob includes small samples of his incredible bike and racing images all shot with genuine enthusiasm since Rob himself is a pro racer.

Starting tonight, let’s ALL use “y’all” to indicate plural. “You” as plural isn’t always clear if anyone else is w/in an earshot. And, even though I’m from up north where “you guys” is typically heard, it’s wrong when females are in the mix. I’d bet most females would agree — but then, I’m not a betting man. It’s enough The “United States” can’t agree on “pop,” “soda” or “cola”? Know what I mean, y’all?

Don’t blame me for bad branding.
